Don’t worry about people who do bad things, and don’t feel jealous of those who do wrong.
Because they’ll dry up fast like grass, and fade away like green plants.
Trust the Lord and do good. Live in the land and rely on His faithfulness for safety.
Take joy in the Lord, and He will give you what your heart wants and asks for.
Give your plans to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will make them happen.
He will make your good actions shine like light, and your right choices glow like the noonday sun.
Be calm before the Lord. Wait for Him patiently and put your trust in Him. Don’t get upset because someone is doing well by being bad, or because a person is carrying out evil plans.
Stop being angry and let go of your rage. Don’t get upset—it only leads to more bad things.
People who do evil will be destroyed. But those who wait for the Lord will get the land as their own.
Soon, the wicked person will be gone forever. Even if you look hard for where they used to be, you won’t find them.
But humble people will finally get the land. They will be happy with plenty of good things and peace.
The wicked make plans against good people and grind their teeth at them in anger.
The Lord laughs at the wicked, because He knows their time of defeat is coming.
The wicked have pulled out their swords and bent their bows. They want to knock down poor and helpless people, and kill those who live honestly and do what’s right.
But their own swords will stab their hearts, and their bows will break.
A little bit that good people (who want to do what God says) have is better than all the wealth that many wicked people have.
The wicked will lose their strength, but the Lord will hold up and support good people who seek Him.
The Lord knows the days of people who live without blame. Their family will keep what they have forever.
When bad times come, good people won’t be ashamed. When there’s no food, they will have enough to be full.
But the wicked will die. The Lord’s enemies will be like the pretty grass or the fat of lambs—they will disappear, like smoke fading away.
The wicked borrow things and don’t pay them back. But good people are kind and give to others.
People blessed by God will finally get the land as their own. But those the Lord curses will be destroyed.
The Lord guides and sets the steps of good, right people. He is happy with the way they live.
If they stumble, they won’t fall hard—because the Lord holds their hand and supports them.
I was young once, and now I’m old. But I’ve never seen a good person (who lives right with God) left alone, or their children begging for bread.
Good people are kind and lend to others all day long. Their children are a blessing.
Turn away from evil and do good. Then you will live safely in the land forever.
The Lord loves fairness. He won’t leave His faithful people—they will be kept safe forever. But the children of the wicked will be destroyed in time.
Good people will get the land as their own and live there forever.
Good people’s mouths speak wisdom. Their tongues tell what’s fair and true.
God’s teachings are in their hearts. They will never stumble in their steps.
The wicked hide and wait to hurt good people—they want to kill them.
But the Lord won’t let the wicked hold onto good people. He won’t let good people be found guilty when they are judged.
Wait for the Lord and keep doing what He says. He will lift you up and let you have the land as your own. When the wicked are destroyed, you will see it happen.
I once saw a wicked, violent man. He acted proud and powerful, like a strong cedar tree growing in its own soil.
But then he was gone—just like that. I looked for him, but I couldn’t find him anywhere.
Watch the person who lives without blame, and look at the one who walks with honesty. People who live in peace have a good future (because living honorably blesses their children).
People who break God’s rules will be completely destroyed. The wicked will have no future—theirs will be cut off.
But good people are saved by the Lord. When they are in trouble, He is their safe place and their strength.
The Lord helps them and rescues them. He saves them from the wicked, because they put their trust in Him.
