 Which Dictionary does Jaan English recommend?

刚刚来Jaan English Learning Center参加雅思培训的小伙伴们英语语言水平相差不太大，都是入门5.5分上下，但是如果用错了英文词典，1个月之后就完全不是在同一个英语水平上了。除了中心学员会得到专用的英文学习词典以外，我们也在这里给大家推荐选择英文词典的一些小贴士：

       1）词典需要有发音功能，帮助你能够建立口语听力的快速反应词库

       2）词条的排序需要按照使用频率，最常用的词条含义应该排在第一位，不常用的词条往后排

       3）学习者词典必须含有多个例句，方便使用者在例句中学习词汇的语言环境和搭配用法

       4）好的学习者词典会用黑体字表示出词汇的常用搭配，常用词组等，帮助学习者防止在使用中产生语病

       5）有列出相同词根词缀的词汇家族，方便学习者一次记忆一组词汇，迅速扩充词汇量。

满足以上基本条件的词典，即可用来作为语言学习工具书使用。

如何使用词典学习，才能获得最大收益？

Vocabulary Study Tips: How to study new words from Listening Discourse?

1) Using Audio script: 

Read aloud, and highlight unknown words while you are reading.

2) Guess the meaning of the highlighted words from context clues.

Check your guessing with the Dictionary.

  • How many definitions are there for each new word?
  • Which one matches the best with the meaning in the audio script?
  • Do you understand the samples/examples?  Use google image for meaning checking.
  • Do you know how to read/spell the word?  Do you know that there are connections between words and their spellings?  Can you give a few examples?

  • It will be helpful if you can make a sentence with the new word.
